About Cranganore Fort
At around 1523 AD, the Cranganore Fort was first built by Portuguese. Later in 16th century Dutch took over the Fort. Tippu Sultan when invaded Kerala controlled the fort for a while. The remnants of fort are an standing example for the fort wall is about 18 feet in thickness.
