Chitrashala , Bundi
About Chitrashala
Part of the Garh palace, this area is slightly separate. Those wishing to visit have to pay an entrance fee of a few rupees. Inside is a set of murals. These depict the story of Radha-Krishna. Legend has it that as a youngster Krishna was jealous of his brothers’ complexion and was asked to color it a different color as a prank. The prank backfired and a demon appeared and poisoned Krishna’s milk. The poisoning failed; Krishna survived, but turned a light bluish color, a lot lighter than his brother!
