Sultan Bathery located in the Wayanad district is famous as Tipu Sultan placed his battery in the Jain temple during the 18th century. Temples famous in Sultan Bathery are the Ganpati temple and the Mariyamman temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh and a tribal god respectively.
