Chilkur Balaji Temple is located on the banks of Osmansagar Lake in a village called Chilkur 17 km away from Hyderabad. The temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu is also popularly known as “Visa Balaji Temple. Devotees believe that all their Visa related problems are solved once prayers are offered in this temple. Lord Vishnu is termed as “Balaji” in this temple.

Originated in the time period of Bhakta Ramadas, the temple whose uncles Madanna and Akkanna built the temple. In this temple normal Hindu rituals are performed. Apart from that devotees should worship god with their eyes open and devotees completes 11 circumnavigations around the main sanctum sanctorum.
