About Buddha Park, Lucknow
Like many other attractions in the city, the Gautam Buddha Park in Lucknow also has its own unique charm. Located near the Rumi Darwaza, the park is one of the significant developments as far as Buddhism in Lucknow is concerned.
Built in around 10 acres by LDA in the year 1980, the park hosts a giant idol of Buddha on a giant marble platform, which is one of the largest in the area. The Buddha Park has something for everyone, from joy rides for children to well laid cobbled pathways for those looking to take a stroll. It has facilities for rowing and paddle boating in its artificial stream as well. Many people assemble here on various occasions which are significant in Buddhist traditions and calendars. The park is also used by political parties to hold rallies. The Gautam Buddha Park is imbued with a peaceful ambience with its serene environment and exquisite beauty and is very popular amongst families accompanied with kids.
