About Shahganj Masjid
A large mosque, venerated to be one of the very best in India, the Shahgani Masjid is next to the great market square in Aurangabad. Constructed of pillars, arches and domes, the mosque is split onto a mezzanine, offering a view of the courtyard and the two water tanks below. The walls and roofs of carved stones are adorned with elephants angels and religious figures, the whole thing in a grand scale.
