About Abbey Falls
Through the coffee and spice estates, past the smell of the pepper vines, the still drifting mists rest above the crescendo of Abbey Falls. These waterfalls are where several streams combine; especially during monsoon the water is thick and heavy. Watch out for leeches, especially during the monsoon. The falls can be reached from Madikeri by taxi or by rickshaw. It is possible to drive to about 500 meters from the falls from where you can walk.
