About Shikaresvara Temple

Shikaresvara Temple is atop the highest point (2830 feet) called Shikaram, in Nallamala Hill of Srisailam. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Local people believe, the Lord Shiva in this temple has great healing power and fulfills all their wishes. From this point, Shikaram, you can catch enthralling view of natural scenes and landscapes and gushing River Krishna. The temple has Garbha Griha, 16 pillared Mukhmandapam, and Antaralaya. You have to climb 150 stone steps to reach the temple. Here you can see Reddy Kings built a tank (Pushkarini) and also the stone stepswere also constructed by the Reddy Kings in 13th century.
