About Rohtak

Rohtak is said to be have named after the Rajput King Rohtash Singh Parmar. Initially it was called as Rohtashgarh and eventually the place was known as Rohtak. There’s also an interesting theory about the name of the district, i.e. it was named after trees called Rohtika (in Sanskrit) which grew in the forests situated there. It’s not just renowned for its mouthwatering sweet delicacies of Rabri and Jalebi but also prosperous historical and religious heritage drawn from various cultures. It is potently popular for the Tilyar Lake which also nestles a small zoo inside the premises and an eco-friendly initiative of Banni Khera Farm which perfectly projects India in its true sense. Rohtak currently is one of the fastest growing hubs for major industrial investments and luxurious townships.
