About Namgyal Tsemo Monastery
Perched on the side of a mountain overlooking the main town. It’s a three story building with commanding views of the valley below. Astride a ridge peering into the valley below, the buildings are local stone constructs, three story, painted a very attractive red and white. In the summer giving the palace a transposes appearance against the backdrop of the blue summer sky. For this reason, it’s become very popular with snappers, looking to get a good picture both of the valley below, or the monastery itself.
